What We Do
What We Do

People around the world find themselves unprepared when faced with situations that challenge their beliefs. As a result, a countless number of Christians (especially youth) are abandoning their faith. Instead of being purposefully different through the power of the Holy Spirit, many find themselves following the ways of this world.

By purposefully giving God your attention and empowering yourself with God-given knowledge, each person can grow to boldly follow Christ despite worldly influences. Hide and Seek Ministries exists to provide resources to guide you in this process through the ministry of discipleship. We have a heart for kids and love to provide Christian materials using an easy-to-understand approach.

HSM is a discipleship ministry for kids and their caregivers -Equipping the next generation through the knowledge of God's Word.
“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:31-32 NKJV
The History
THE HISTORY

Bob and Erin Greenfield are seasoned Bible teachers, parents, authors, and founders of Hide and Seek Ministries (HSM). Through this ministry, Bob and Erin provide Christian resources to kids and their caregivers around the world. They also host the popular Knowing God Podcast for Kids and have been both students and teachers of Christian discipleship for many years.

As a speaker, trainer, teacher, and writer for national and international organizations, Erin found herself surrounded by atheists and evolutionists during her previous career. During that time, Bob and Erin began noticing how youth were abandoning their faith after encountering people like the very ones that encircled Erin. Bob and Erin witnessed that these kids knew Bible stories very well but could not give an answer for why they believe, and they lacked their own relationship with the Lord. Thus, with the Lord's leading, HSM was born. The intent of HSM is to lead youth in developing a personal relationship with God, teach them to apply His Word to their lives, and encourage them to boldly follow Jesus despite worldly influences.

Located in Missouri, Bob and Erin enjoy homeschooling their three children, teaching Sunday School together, and spending time with their family.

BEHIND THE NAME
Hide & Seek Ministries

It's Satan's goal to hinder, hide and cover up the truth. He is the father of lies and deceitfulness. As a result of his efforts and the freedom for all of us to make our own choices, the Gospel is hidden to some because they refuse to accept Jesus.

"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Corinthians 4:4 NIV)

In Christ are "hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3 NKJV). This wisdom and knowledge...this truth...shall make you free (John 8:32). But the reason it is hidden is because it is only available to those who are followers of Christ. As His followers, we are in Him (2 Cor. 5:17) and He is in us (Rom. 8:9 and 1 John 4:15). We have this wisdom and knowledge available to us. However, we do not automatically receive it by simply saying a prayer to get to heaven. You must intentionally seek the Lord with all your heart (Jer. 29:13) and search for it as if searching for a hidden treasure (Prov. 2:4). If you seek you will find (Matthew 7:7).

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 NKJV

Through the ministry of discipleship, Hide and Seek Ministries helps the next generation seek the Lord, find the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge in His Word, and develop their own personal relationship with Him.

What We Believe
WHAT WE BELIEVE
  • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. (1 Thes. 2:13, 2 Tim. 3:15-17)

  • We Believe there is only one God (our Creator) who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19, John 10:30, Eph. 4:4-6, Gen. 1:1)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, Healer, and soon coming King that was born a virgin birth and lived a sinless life. We believe in His miracles, atoning death on the cross, resurrection, and His personal return. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. We are saved by grace through faith and it is the gift of God. Those who choose not to believe will face the judgment of God. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Rom. 3:23, 2 Cor. 5:10-11, Eph. 1:7 and 2:8-9)

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, and believe He indwells in every believer. We believe that it is the will of God that we live and walk in the Spirit, moment by moment. (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10)

  • We believe evangelism (proclaiming and sharing the message of salvation) and discipleship (helping followers mature in Christ) is a responsibility as a follower of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15; 1 Peter 3:15)

Discipleship
DISCIPLESHIP
THE PROBLEM
Lack of Knowledge

Many believers, young and old alike, accept Jesus into their life but receive little to no guidance as to what to do next. They do not understand what it means to live for Jesus and do not have a grasp of who God really is.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)

THE MISSION
We Are Called

God's plan for His children is much more than just saying a prayer  to get to Heaven. He has an amazing plan and a purpose for you right now. The Lord wants all people to know Him personally and reach their full God-given potential. Jesus called each one of us to be a disciple and to make disciples.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

THE ACTION
Follow Jesus

Every disciple is a believer, but every believer may not be a disciple. True disciples have an intense desire to be doers of God's Word and are purposefully different than the rest of the world. Disciples live a disciplined Christian life in its fullness with excitement and a purpose.

"Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."

Matthew 16:24-25 (NIV)

THE RESULT
Set Free

True faith in Jesus results in salvation. But we can also be a "disciple indeed" by abiding in His Word. The knowledge of truth sets us free from bondage and we are given "all things that pertain to life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3). Peace, joy, prosperity, health...all the promises of God are available to us through the faith that comes from His Word.

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 8:31-32 NKJV
