CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS

"There are two kinds of people one can call reasonable: those who serve God with all their heart because they know him, and those who seek him with all their heart because they do not know him."

- Blaise Pascal (Christian Scientist)

THERE ARE MANY SCIENTISTS WHO DO BELIEVE IN GOD.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR FAITH TO STUDY SCIENCE

As you study science, you will become very familiar with the scientific method. This method is a five-step problem-solving approach that is used by scientists every day. Sir Francis Bacon is credited for developing the scientific method several hundred years ago, and he was a Christian who believed in the created  universe.

Biography.com says this about Bacon:

Today, Bacon is still widely regarded as a major figure in scientific methodology and natural philosophy during the English Renaissance. Having advocated an organized system of obtaining knowledge with a humanitarian goal in mind, he is largely credited with ushering in the new early modern era of human understanding.

Bacon once wrote:

"Knowledge is the rich storehouse for the glory of the Creator and the relief of man's estate. A little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism, but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion."

Although it might not always seem this way, many of the greatest scientists were Christians. And there are still many Christian scientists today. Here are a few examples of Christian scientists in the past who made significant impacts in the study of science.
