What Are You Watching?

Everything you do comes from your heart (Prov. 4:23). EVERYTHING. And there are two ways things get into your heart: your eyes and ears.

Your heart leads your life, and it's what God looks at (1 Sam. 16:7). And if you don't protect it, Satan will use distractions like television and movies to steal God's Word from you (Mark 4:1-20). The result: you are left with a fruitless life, and you'll miss out on God's promises.

So, what will you spend your time watching this year?

The good news is there are many Christian movies coming out in 2018! Check out four of them below.

It's a true story about Bart Millard's life (Mercy Me singer) and reveals the inspiration behind his famous song "I Can Only Imagine". It's said to be a great reminder of the power of forgiveness. In theaters now.

From the website: Bound in chains, Paul’s struggle is internal. He has survived so much—floggings, shipwreck, starvation, stoning, hunger and thirst, cold and exposure—yet as he waits for his appointment with death, he is haunted by the shadows of his past misdeeds. Alone in the dark, he wonders if he has been forgotten . . . and if he has the strength to finish well. In theaters now.

From the website: A deadly fire rips through St. James Church, devastating the congregation and Pastor Dave. Adjoining Hadleigh University uses the tragedy to kick the congregation off campus. The escalating controversy creates a dilemma for the small church—can Christians fight for their rights and be the light for Christ at the same time? In theaters March 30.

From the website: SAMSON was filmed on location in South Africa, and is a production of Pure Flix, producer of GOD’S NOT DEAD, the leading faith film of 2014.“Most people know that Samson had long hair, Delilah cut it off, and that he lost his strength,” Director Bruce Macdonald said. “But there’s so much more. Samson was an unwilling hero, and his journey to regain his faith—the whole story—is relevant in 2017.” Still in some theaters now. The DVD release date is set for May 15, 2018.
